Adverse Childhood Experiences

In addition to raising awareness about ACEs, we are committed to exploring pilot projects in India which draw upon existing researches, case studies and carry out new work locally with respect to preventing ACEs by training parents and teachers, building emotional competencies among young people and developing programmes to make communities trauma informed.

Below is a list of resources to introduce you to the idea of ACEs and the work being done with that knowledge around the world.

  1. A Basic intro to ACEs:

2. A doctor’s perspective of what incorporating a sensitivity ACEs in her work did for her practice

3. Examples of trauma informed initiatives to address ACEs and build resilience

a) Training program for parents

b) Community Resilience Building examples

We would like to work on growing this list with examples from within India over time.
