We aim to develop a human service system where there is no wrong door- this means that irrespective of the point at which a client comes in contact with the system, they can get the support that they need.  The following quote from the trauma lens report communicates where the Trauma Coordination function comes in:

‘ Social work organizations, for instance, often work with clients who are disadvantaged in more than one way. This means that a client who is receiving help with addiction might also be homeless or be HIV+ and in need of treatment. Trauma Coordination as a function connects the work of different agencies from a trauma informed perspective, forming a continuum of care between the services of agencies, and handling cross agency referrals based on trauma informed screenings.’
